We’re always looking for writers who can bring real expertise and a genuine point of view to Work, Wellness, World, and WTF. If you’ve got something to say and the research to back it up, we’d like to hear from it.
What we’re looking for
We don’t publish for the sake of publishing. Every piece needs an editorial reason to exist beyond filling a content calendar, whether that’s a fresh angle, a well-sourced explainer, or an essay that says something readers haven’t already read a dozen times elsewhere. We care more about depth and credibility than speed.
That means we’re looking for writers who can back up what they write. If you have direct experience or subject-matter expertise in a category you’re pitching, mention it. A strong writing sample matters, but so does knowing what you’re talking about.
A few things we always expect: every claim sourced to something credible, a voice that sounds like a smart, well-read friend rather than a content farm, and a willingness to revise. We also don’t run pieces that exist purely to rank for a keyword, so if your idea doesn’t offer the reader something real, it’s probably not a fit.
How to pitch
Send us an email at [email protected] with:
- A short pitch (2 to 3 sentences) describing your idea and which vertical and category it fits
- Why you’re the right person to write it, including any relevant experience or expertise
- A link to 2 to 3 writing samples, ideally relevant to the category you’re pitching
We read every pitch, but we can’t respond to all of them. If yours is a fit, you’ll hear from our editorial team within two to three weeks.
What happens if we say yes
We’ll send over a written agreement covering byline credit, deadline, and revision terms before any work begins. You’ll also get a content brief with your target reader, angle, and key sources to work from. Two rounds of revision are included as standard. All accepted work is published as work-for-hire.
